Kawaii Bomb Defusal Game
A cooperative gallery game powered by puzzles, physical computing, and friendship.
Abstract
Kawaii Bomb Defusal is an interactive gallery game where visitors race to save a sentient, anxious, overly cute bomb. Built during a three-day Fidget Camp sprint, the experience combines physical computing, environmental storytelling, and collaborative puzzles culminating in a literal “power of friendship” finale.

Visitors follow clues hidden throughout the gallery to defuse the bomb before time runs out. The experience moves from a fluffy diary to synchronized keypads, a parachuting pair of wire cutters, conductive wires, and finally a human-chain circuit that requires multiple players to complete.

The correct code releases an electromagnet, dropping a tethered parachute carrying wire cutters.

The Experience
I joined during final integration, helping turn the team's individual systems into a functioning gallery installation. I fabricated and wired the conductive heart, rigged the parachute system, installed interactive elements, assembled and decorated props, and troubleshot the physical experience. I also provided the bomb’s voice.
My Contributions
A three-day experiment in building fast, embracing absurdity, and turning electronics and craft materials into collaborative play.
